Checking your browser…
Chrome is the most widely used web browser right now. It updates itself, runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS, and has a large set of extensions you can add for extra features.
How to update Chrome
Chrome usually updates in the background and will prompt you when a new version is ready. Staying on the latest version helps you avoid security issues and bugs.
- Windows, macOS, or Linux: open the three-dot menu → Help → About Google Chrome. Chrome checks for an update and installs it if one is available.
- Android: open the Google Play Store, search for Chrome, and tap Update if it appears.
- iPhone or iPad: open the App Store, search for Chrome, and tap Update if it appears.
